Alabama AER Leadership Training Initiative

The AER Leadership Training Initiative is an effort to attract and develop future leaders for the Alabama AER Chapter. The third AER Leadership Training Initiative (LTI) was held May 7-9, 2023 at the Alabama 4-H Center in Columbiana, AL.

The two days was full of fun and learning opportunities. The training consisted of effective leadership and team-building activities. Alabama AER Officers and Board Members say a Special Thanks to Marquitta Riggins, LaTonya Chatman, Stephanie Pizza, and Courtney Pettaway the 2023 LTI participants. They took time from their jobs to become more familiar with the inner workings of the Alabama AER Chapter.

As Steve Sullivan Chapter President stated “Alabama AER is what we, the members, make it. The more each of us participate and get involved, the more relevant and useful Alabama AER will be for all of us”.

Since the conclusion of the LTI the 2023 AER Elections were conducted in June by Yevette Pearce immediate Past-President for two vacant Board Member positions. Congratulations to Marquitta Riggins and returning Board Member Jack Harrison. Their three-year terms will begin at the conclusion of this year’s conference ending August 28, 2023.
